Medal, Plaquette, 1908, Bronze, France. LA VICTOIRE, STANDING WOMAN/GODDESS by Lucien Jean Henri Cariat (1874-1925). Size: 34mm x 80mm. Weight: 37 Grams. Art Nouveau. Obv. Victory/Standing Woman/Godess arms raised; Rv. Fern/Garland and Hunting Horn. Edge: Bronze and Hallmark. (PBE 35). Medallist: Lucian Jean Henri Cariat was born in Paris and was a pupil of Francois Joseph Hubert Ponscarne (1827-1903). He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais in 1898, winning an "Honour Award". Reference: (PBE 35; BDM VII, 152; CGMP p.72; cf. DNW 68, 1667).
