Set Description
2011 Silver Eagles in MS70. Listing all the possible labels awarded to the holders, mint mark and burnished.

Set Goals
Try to aquire as many as possible for the 25th Anniversary year. This will be a challenging year being the 25th Anniversary, especially with the 5 coin set that will be the rage. It doesn't matter what Eagle you are looking for, label color, style, population, mintmark, or any combination will be challenging. I look forward to it.
I went with something different for the reverses of the holders. I thought pictures of things that relate to the year, coin, mintmark, label, and composition would be not to sterile. Hope you like it.

View Coin   United States .9993 oz. ASW S$1 2011 EAGLE 25TH ANNIVERSARY SET EARLY RELEASES KM-273 NGC MS 70 The Liberty Coin Act was signed on July 9, 1985 by President Ronald Reagan. This act was for the Statue of Liberty Commemorative coin. However in section 202 of the Act it had an amendment that stipulated that the Treasury Secretary shall mint and issue in amounts equal to that of the public demand coins of .999 silver and thus the Silver Eagle was born.
This coin was minted at the San Francisco Mint and carries no mint mark.
The 100,000 bullion strikes packaged for the 25th Anniversary set were minted at San Francisco without a mintmark and other bullion strikes of 2011 were also struck at the West Point, and the Philadelphia Mint's respectively.
The bullion strikes that were minted at West Point and Philadelphia were available individually and in bulk .
Mintage: Approx. 100,000. Population 17,330. NGC Universal ID: 2TTL. Catalog #KM-273
Design by Adolph A Weinman for the obverse and John Mercanti the reverse designer. The obverse features Liberty walking left and the reverse shows an eagle with a shield, arrows and Olive branches.
From the 25th Anniversary set. They sure are nice.

View Coin   United States S$1 2011 W EAGLE 25TH ANNIVERSARY SET EARLY RELEASES KM-273 NGC MS 70 In 2006 the United States Mint produced a three coin set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the American Silver Eagle program. That set contained three different finishes. The proof, the reverse proof, and the burnished. The burnished was struck at the West Point Mint, and carries the "W" mint mark.
The three coins were available in the three coin set, or individually. Separately they initially sold for a whopping $19.95. So far the United States Mint has produced these Burnished coins in the following years, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
With a estimated mintage of approximately 100,000. The present population is 17,830. The NGC Universal ID: 2TSP. The obverse is of Liberty walking to our left designed by Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse of an American Bald Eagle with shield and Olive branches grasped in one talon and arrows in the other. From 25th Anniversary set. The West Point Mint is shown.

View Coin   United States S$1 2011 EAGLE EARLY RELEASES NGC MS 70 Unique label, only used twice for the Silver Eagle.
View Coin   United States S$1 2011(S) EAGLE KM-273 NGC MS 70 The demand for the 2011 Bullion American Silver Eagle was very strong. This demand and the Mint's inability with all the other Mint programs demanding completion, the Secretary of Treasury ordered that the West Point and San Francisco Mints join in the production of the Bullion Eagles. This of course is because the Liberty Coin Act of 1985 states that production must meet the demand of the public.
The mintage of 39,868.500 is approximate. Population at this time is 13,316. The NGC Universal ID: 26KT. The catalog #KM-273. This coin has NO mintmark, which does not distinguish what mint the 2011 bullion coins were struck at. Because it carries the (S) label to show that it was struck in San Francisco. By having the double seal on the monster boxes and un-tampered with and received at NGC from the San Francisco mint they can then be certified as "Struck at the San Francisco Mint".

It was October 29, 1986 that the button on press number 105 was pushed and the very first American Silver Eagle was produced.
The obverse is designed by Adolph A. Weinman showing Liberty walking to our left, and the reverse done by John Mercanti has an American Bald Eagle with a shield.
100,000 is the approximate mintage. The current population of this coin is 18,278. The NGC Universal ID: 2TSR. The catalog #KM-273.
This is a special coin in that it is of the satin/burnished finish and it has a "S" mintmark.
This coin is also very unique in the fact that it was never issued for individual sale or packaging. It was ONLY available in the 25th Silver Eagle Anniversary set.
As of now, it is the only Burnished Silver Eagle not minted at the West Point Mint.
From the 25th Anniversary set. One of the TOP 50 coins.
