Medal, Plaque, 1930, Bronze, Belgium. PRINCESS ASTRID OF SWEDEN, BELGIUM. Edge: Bronze, Size: 170mm x 115mm. Weight: 300 Grams+. Uniface Portrait Plaque by A. Daumont for George Frès. Obv. Portrait of Astrid looking left, S. Astrid below, Medallist's Signature to right. Duamont also made a similar Portrait plaque for Leopold III. Astrid Sofia Lovisa Thyra of Sweden was Queen consort of the Belgians as the wife of King Leopold III. Her grandson, Philippe is the King of the Belgians. She is the aunt of the King of Norway and the grandmother of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Purchased in France.
