Medal, Plaquette, 1908, Bronze, France. FRANCO-BRITISH EXPOSITION (Held in Conjunciton with the) OLYMPIC GAMES OF 1908 (The 4th Olympic Games Held in Modern Times). This is the only medallic illustration of the olympic stadium in 1908. Size: 57mm x 69mm. Weight: 130 Grams. Official Plaque by Medallist Charles Pillet. Obv. (Female) Britannia extending hand to Gallia across the British Channel; Rv. Seated Peace holding 2 flags over exposition grounds with Olympic Games stadium view. Engraver : Charles Philippe Germain Aristide PILLET (1869 - 1960) French sculptor, burner and medallist , pupil of Chapu and J.C. Chaplain. He won in 1890 the First " Grand Prix de Rome ".
