Medal, Plaquette, 1907, Bronze, ADAM POLITZER, Medical Professor, Uniface medal by E. Telcs. Obv. Portrait of Politzer looking right, below 7 line inscription, dated 1907, TELCS left of portrait. Rv. Blank. Edge Hallmarked and marked J.C. - Adam Politzer was born in Alberti (now part of Albertirsa), near the city of Budapest, to a well-to-do Jewish family. He studied medicine in the University of Vienna. Some of his teachers belonged to the famous Second "Vienna School". Politzer was a prolific inventor of new medical devices for the diagnosis and treatment of ear diseases. Medallist: Eduard "Ede" Telcs was a Hungarian sculptor; born at Baja, Hungary May 12, 1872; died 1948. Attractive and Rare. Purchased at the Chicago ANA World Fair of Money, August 2014.
