Picasso Design, his name / signature, and date 1981, honeycomb design around. Pablo Ruiz y Picasso, also known as Pablo Picasso, was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. He was born in 1881, so this Plaquette would be a 100 year commemoration of his birth. Size: 49mm x 61mm. Interestingly, this 100 year commemorative medal, happened to be the 100th plaquette purchased for the collection. Purchased from Hedley Betts.
