Medal, Plaquette, 1930, Bronze, France. MOTHER & CHILD. Art Deco Plaquette by Emile Just Bachelet (1892-1981). Size: 43.1mm x 43.1mm. Rare. Obv. Child cradled against Mother.(as if mom is dreaming of a peaceful future for her baby who is sleeping in her arms); Rv. Inscription "Le Comite National de l'Enfance a Mme Auger" (National Committee for Childhood to Mrs. Auger). Edge: "V. Canale" and triangle hallmark. Minted by the Victor Canale Art Shop "Maison Canale", established 3, rue des Arts in Paris, 1927. RARE. Purchased in France.
