Medal, Plaquette, Belgium. L'EFFORT, NUDE MEN PULLING ROCK, By Joseph Witterwulghe (1883 - 1967). This is the original large plaque from the 1930's, not the smaller and more recent version. The medal is 87.09 mm x 91.58 mm in diameter and is made of bronze (with a total weight of 11.348 ounces or 321.7 grams). The effort theme is often depicted in medals from both Belgium and France.
