Medal, Plaquette, 1927, Bronze, France. Medicine. HOPITAL LARIBOISIERE, PROF. M. MACAIGNE by DeHerain (a very desirable medallist). Size: 47mm x 70mm. Uniface. Obv. Portrait of Professor left, Hospital Laribosiere above with 1927 date, Legend at bottom, sees eleves et sees amis; Rv. Blank. Attractive. Purchased from Hedley Betts. François De Herain was a painter, engraver, sculptor of the French Ecole born in Paris in 1877 and died June 1962. Associate of the National Society in 1912, Associate in 1924, became Associate of the Salon des Independants in 1926. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and In 1926, a retrospective of Independents presented his works.
