Medal, Plaquette, 1938, Bronze, France. GUILLAUME-LOUIS (Professor), by Francois Victor Bazin (1897-1956), a French artist who worked during the art deco years of 1920's - 1930's. He Worked in both silver and bronze. Most famous for his highly stylized car mascots, he designed the stork mascot for the famous Hispano Suiza motor car. His work is very sought after. Obv. Portrait of Professor left, F. Bazin signed at bottom right; Rv. Inscriptions: Au Professeur Guillaume-Louis, Ses Collegues, Ses Amis, Ses Eleves 1938, with ornate School/Award Design. Attractive.
