Medal, Plaquette, c.1960, Bronze, United States. TIGER by Robert T. Dieges (Dieges and Clust). 2nd piece known, but this not gilt. Uniface, Obv. TIGER looking left, sun above, grass below, RTD Monogram Signature of Medallist bottom right corner, Rv. Plain. Bas Relief Cast Plaquette. Approx 6.25 High x 4.25 inches Wide. From the collection of Jonathan Brecher (Co-editor of the 2nd edition of the standard catalog of So-Called Dollars). This plaquette is one of a group of 21 Dieges medals originally sold as a group lot in Boston, MA, most likely from the Dieges family.
