Medal, Plaquette, 1913, Bronze, Belgium Congo, MONUMENT DHANIS INAUGURATION, Commemorating Campaign of 1892-1894, Bronze, BELGIAN (Léopold II, 1865-1909), AE plaque (67.92g), Size: 75mm x 55mm, plaque by Alf. Mauquoy. Alfonse "Alf" Mauquoy (1880 – 1954). Obv. soldier planting flag among bowing natives with 1892 CAMPAGNE ARABE 1894 in exergue/crest with flanking Leopold I medals and laurel wreath extending below with INAUGURATION DU MONUMENT DHANIS 12 Oct. 1913 below, brown, Mint State. Vancraenenbroeck 24a. Purchased at the Chicago ANA World of Money Show, August 2014.
