This set (PALESTINE under British Mandate 1927 – 1947) is the 1st Custom set in the Holy Land Complete Collection.
The coins of Palestine under British Mandate were cataloged in Krause-Mishler Catalog as KM#1 thru KM#7; following by Israeli coins which were cataloged starting from KM#8 and so on...
There are 59 coins total in Complete Collection of Palestine under British Mandate 1927 – 1947 (up to May 14, 1948 when the State of Israel was created).
These 59 coins consist of MINT issues only, not counting all PROOFS and rare/unique UNC coins of 1947 which were almost completely melted down.
This Custom set is intended to consist of 59 slots of MINT issues only (no PROOFS), and as such will be complete per NGC/PCGS census & NumisMedia.com/ Krause Catalog listings of Palestine coins.
This Custom set actually is the composite of the series of 7 Competitive sets (by Denomination) of Palestine coins under Mandate of British Administration.
While the mintages of common date issues were relatively big, and actually majority of the coins survived the WWII, but all 59 issues are rare and hard to find in really UNCIRCULATED condition authenticated and certified by two World leading 3rd party grading services: NGC & PCGS!
So it is a real challenge to assemble such a comprehensive set.
So please enjoy the listing since the majority of slabs are represented by photos.
