Struck in copper with Reeded edge.

Obverse: Bust of Liberty wearing a Cap ornamented with with 2 stars and a ribbon flows down and around her shoulder with LIBERTY inscribed with incuse letters. There is no "B" initial in the fold of the ribbon. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA wraps around the top perimeter and our Mottos IN GOD WE TRUST is within a scroll below

Reverse: The denomination 50 Cents and the date 1870 is in the center of the wreath of Cotton and corn and inscription STANDARD is at the top.

Comment:
This Pollock variant has the point of the Cap at the left edge of the second "S" of States while the P-1074 has the tip of the cap about centered with the "S". USpatterns.com states they believe that only 2 or 3 P- 1068 and 3 or 4 of the P-1074 exixts. Overall, the Judd 941 there are only 6 or 7 known
Richly toned, this highly flashy near-GEM. Reflective copper fields are a delight to behold, generally clean and free from serious flecks or carbon spots of any kind. The coloration is beautiful.
