Judd-939 Pollock-1066,
Rarity: R.6 to R.7 (this is sub variety of J-939), PR63

Struck in silver with Reeded edge

Obverse: Bust of Liberty wearing a Cap ornamented with 2 stars and a ribbon flows down and around her shoulder with LIBERTY inscribed with incuse letters. There is no "B" initial in the fold of the ribbon. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA wraps around the top perimeter and our Motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is within a scroll below.

Reverse: The denomination 50 Cents and the date 1870 is in the center of the wreat h of Cotton and corn and inscription STANDARD is at the top.

Comment:
This Pollock variant has the point of the Cap at the left edge of the second "S" of States while the P-1052 has the tip of the cap about centered with the "S".

This is a nicely mirrored example of a Standard silver 50c piece with slight golden undertones and some contrasting devices providing a tendency to have a cameo effect as a result.
