Owner Comments:
The obverse design shows the crowned & coronation enrobed bust of King George V with inscription GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR. The reverse design shows an open PROTEA CYNAROIDES bloom with 2 leaves on the stem, enclosed by a hexagon formed by 6 bundles of kindling sticks ( representing the denomination) of 4 sticks per bundle (representing the 4 provinces) tied in the middle with inscription * SOUTH - AFRICA * DATE * SUID - AFRIKA * 6D. Note the change in inscription from previous years. The reverse design was used from 1931 to 1936.
