CIVIL WAR SUTLER TOKENS (1861-1865) : SUTLER J.J. BENSON - 1st NEW YORK MOUNTED RIFLES *** NY-1-25C NGC XF-45 BN R-6!! The slab label has the old designation NY S-1-25C. John Benson was the sutler for the 1st NY Mounted Rifles. The value of the token is 25 cents. This sutler issued tokens in denominations of 5, 10, and 50 cents as well. "This is one of the most attractive circulated sutler that we have ever seen."

CIVIL WAR SUTLER TOKEN (1861-1865) : William E. Wood - 2nd Pennsylvania Artillery *** PA-2-25C NGC XF-45 BN R-6!! Slab label has the old designation PA-S-B25C. The token was slabbed before the new book and designations came out. William E. Wood was the sutler for the 2nd PA artillery. This is the only token that he issued, and he obtained his tokens from P.J.Jacobus of Philadelphia.
