Owner Comments:

This National Commemorative Medal was struck to commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of statehood of the State of Kansas. The obverse depicts a covered wagon being pulled by oxen. The reverse depicts a stalk of wheat over a sunflower. 20,000 medals were struck only in .900 fine silver and distributed by the Kansas Centennial Commission.
