Mintage 71,763. There are 23 of these graded at NGC and PCGS, including just one or two examples with the "rounded shield" reverse which is much rarer and more valuable. This is the last year of the long reign of Franz Joseph.
This is almost exactly the same gold content as an Italian 20 Lira coin, although none of those were struck in 1916.

For both this coin and the gold 20 Korona coin of Hungary the auction houses contacted me to ask if my pre-bid was a mistake. In the first case, Spink changed the auction description to note that the coin was rare after talking to me. I did not appreciate that. Kunker called me and they did not do anything with the auction description after talking to me about my bid for this coin, which I do appreciate. The Spink example was a great coin, so no complaints there.
