Critique: This is a lovely example of a supposedly rare date, which slipped through an auction with very little interest, and allowed me to acquire it very cheaply. This particular date is one of those unusual cases where a coin is supposed to be rare, NGC assigns it a high score, and yet it frequently appears in high grade in auctions and sells rather cheaply. Am I missing something, or are all the experts wrong?
