Critique: Extremely pretty example of this rare date. Nobody in America would sell me one, so I had to go all the way down to Oz to acquire it. That's always a gamble, since as I've mentioned before Eric at DS only carries the dreaded and frequently over-graded PCGS coins. So you can never be sure that the more conservative graders at NGC will play along when you send a PCGS coin in for crossover. In this case I got lucky and it crossed at the same grade, so "much good on me" as they say down under. And of course, the coin still resides as a playful ghost in the PCGS pop report as cert #42844400. You may refer to the comments on my 1902-M coin for further discussion of ghosts.
When examining extreme close-up views of this coin, it appears to me that there is an additional feature which could be an unreported mint error. Still need to do quite a bit of research to verify and substantiate that, so won't make any further comment at this time.
