This one is just a straight forward mistake made at NGC, the best I can tell.
The Mechanical Error is the 50th Anniversary designation on the label. I'm not sure where this came from and can only attribute as human error.I do not disagree that this coin is dedicated to an anniversary, it absolutely is. It is the 50 years that is incorrect. 70 Years is prominently displayed on the reverse of the coin (obverse of the holder), displayed as "70 with pokie below" (pokie being Ukrainian for "years'). 70 years is also in the description of the coin on the COA, and was in the description of the coin on the submission form to NGC. Consequently the slot made in the registry reflects the label, as this is currently the only coin currently graded by NGC, and the slot is in the appropriate set I am not in a hurry to get the label corrected at this time. At some point I will be sending this back in for review and hopefully a new label.
