Owner Comments:
Here is a token that probably deserves a revered space in the catalog of Pan American Expo tokens! This is one of three different tokens that are known from the Indian Congress Restaurant. My thought is that like the Venice in America tokens, these were certainly used at the Pan. But I cannot confirm much about these enigmatic pieces yet. I am sure they are authentic "Good For" tokens from the early 1900s and would like to get proof of the attribution to the Pan Am Expo. The "Indian Congress" traveled to other locations including a version of the "Indian Congress Restaurant" at the 1904 St. Louis Fair (please see photo).
This is the "Good For 25 [cents] In Merchandise" and measures 28.55 mm. I know of only two specimens, both cancelled with an "S" punch. This could be in the R8 range.
