View Coin   United States 3CN 1865 NGC MINT ERROR XF 45 Copper/Nickel 3 cent pieces where first struck in 1865.This coin, however;was not the perfect example 3 cent piece it was intended to be.It was struck off-center by about 15% and was encapsulated as a mint error coin by NGC.The coin was graded XF- 45.It is a very interesting early error coin which was struck sometime during the last year of the Civil War.
View Coin   United States $20 1896/1896 FS-301 NGC MS 63 Beautiful Liberty Double Eagle with repunched date FS-301.A nice gold coin which also exhibits an error of the obverse date.
View Coin   UNITED STATES 25C 1903 BROADSTRUCK ON BLANK NGC MINT ERROR AU 58 A beautiful and rare Broadstruck on Blank Mint Error Barber Quarter. Mint errors in any of the Barber coin series are very hard to find and this coin is in near uncirculated condition grading AU-58 by NGC.This coin still shows much mint luster and also has great eye appeal.
Some interesting facts about the year 1903 was that at the time this coin was struck the very first silent film “TheGreat Train Robbery”debuted. Also,Orville and Wilbur Wright become the first to fly a controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air airplane at Kitty Hawk,NC,on December 17,1903.
View Coin   UNITED STATES S$1 1922 CURVED CLIP @ 4:00 NGC MINT ERROR MS 63 The United States Mint does in fact make mistakes as this coin shows. This is a 1922 Peace Dollar which was struck on a curved clipped planchet at 4:00.If you look at about 10:00 you will notice what is called the Blakesley Effect.Because of the lack of metal at the site of the clip, the opposite side from the clip will not always receive a raised rim at that point when going through the upset mill.Without the clip, a planchet would receive a nice evenly raised rim around the circumference of the blank planchet before being struck by the coining dies during the finale striking operation.
View Coin   United States 10C 1942/41 D PCGS VF 20 This coin was graded by PCGS in VF-20.It is a 1942/41-D Mercury Dime. This is the Denver mint version of this dime which is slightly rarer than the Philadelphia version.
View Coin   UNITED STATES 25C WASHINGTON STRUCK 20% OFF CENTER NGC MINT ERROR MS 64 This is a very impressive American Bicentennial Clad Quarter that was struck approximately 20% off center.
View Coin   United States 1C 1995 DOUBLED DIE OBV NGC MS 68 RD This is an interesting mint error which was certified and graded as a 1995 DOUBLED DIE OBV IN MS 68 RD by NGC.
View Coin   United States Copper coated Zinc 1C 2000 STRUCK OFF CENTER PCGS MS 66 This coin has a combination of errors including being struck 3 times. The first strike is centered, the second strike is 35% off-center and the 3rd strike being 90% off-center.This is a nice example of a mint error which is eye catching and in high grade. With the U.S.Mint tightening it’s quality control you very seldom see these types of errors anymore!
