Set Description
Sharply struck and skillfully engraved, with enticing luster, these little jewels were my entry point into the world of high-end Seated Liberty Peruvian coins.
I'm proud to say I have a complete set with the finest grades, even if it is just two specimens.
The 1863 in MS 67 is tied with 3 others at NGC and 1 at PCGS for finest graded. This date comes nice and is available with some searching. My coin is an extreme top-of-the-line specimen, however.
My 1864 is tied with 1 coin at PCGS for finest graded. The 1864 is very underrated in Uncirculated and can be a challenge to find in any grade. Only 3 others are graded, two in 64 at PCGS and one in 62 at NGC.
I appreciate the entire 1/2 Dinero series, but there are too many hoard coins in the later dates for my liking in terms of attempting a complete high-end set. These early dates are special for me.
