NGC has graded only 13 examples of this matte proof issue, with PCGS having graded another 21 examples (34 total between the 2 main TPGs). At NGC, four coins have been graded PF64 with none higher; PCGS has graded 4 in PR64 and 2 in PR65. While the mintage of the matte proof coins is unknown, one can be found with little effort. However, one in essentially "as minted" condition as this example are few and far between.
An absolutely pristine strike, amazingly strong detail, and lovely appealing matte surfaces. This is what the Semeuse (Sower) design of L. Oscar Roty is supposed to look like in all its glory.
