Polish Danzig 1/4 Thalers of Sigismund III

Set Description
This is probably most collected type coin from this period (1608-1626) with many beautiful examples available in world coin population. Year 1608 mintage is possibly unique considered a pattern for type and regular mintage starts in 1609 and continues until 1626 with only year 1622 not being minted by Danzig mint. There are some examples of 1622 ¼ Thalers, but they are period counterfeits produced by Swedish occupying forces probably in Elbing.
There are multiple varieties, but generally we can divide them by earlier examples with the Gothic City Arms that changes mid-year 1615 to Renaissance City Arms. Some examples have mint mark of SA (Samuel Ammon) or SB (Stanislaw Berman) and many coins do not have mint mark whatsoever, or mint mark is so small that is difficult or impossible to find.
