I found this coin in a Mexico type set collection and had it submitted, and was pleasantly surprised when it came back MS66. There were 50,000,000 minted, and ironically nice examples are tough to come by because they were put into circulation.

This coin was my unicorn for many years. This 500 peso gold coin celebrates the anniversary of the nationalization of the oil industry in Mexico, and they only minted 611 of them. A dealer found this coin for me and I had it graded at the FUN show in January of 2022, and it came back MS 64. It has some toning from copper coming through but I don't think it detracts from the coin. This coin makes only 4 graded by NGC.
