Owner Comments
Very nice 1832 Nova Scotia halfpenny token with relatively light wear and a pleasing chocolate color. Coin variety is NS-1D3, but I don't know rarity for this variety (probably common). Obverse has PROVINCE OF NOVA SCOTIA along rim with George IV facing left as central device (despite his reign ending in 1830). Reverse has HALFPENNY TOKEN along upper rim, date along lower rim, and thistle in wreath at center. Cost: $16.75 on 11/9/14 on eBay from Ernest Latter (cwtguy).

Composition: Copper. Mintage: 800,000. Series Identifier: KM#1.
NumisMaster Nova Scotia Coin Guide estimated value at time of purchase: $40.00 (XF40).
