1863 Swiss U.S. Grant Tribute Medal. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant Medal, First Obverse, 1868. Bronze, 60.9mm. By Hugues Bovy of Geneva. De Witt USG 1868-1. Obv. Rugged uniformed bust of the Union commander ;3/4 r. Rev. Tribute to Grant's firmness, I INTEND TO FIGHT IT OUT ON THIS LINEIF IT TAKE S ALL SUMMER. Struck for a Swiss Republican Club by an artist also noted for Lincoln medals. De Witt wrote that this 3/4 bust was judged unsatisfactory, ``and the obverse die was destroyed after few impressions were struck. This accounts for its extreme rarity.'' Enclosed Enot welded or otherwise marred) in an ornate oak-leaf bezel topped by an American eagle and jump ring. A powerful medal exhibiting deep reflective walnut brown surfaces.

1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition Saint Gaudens Award Medal. Sculpted by Augustus Saint Gaudens to commerate the 400th Anniversary of Columbus's arrival in the New World. The original reverse was deemed to be too "racy" and The U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver/Designer Charles Barber created a new reverse design which was used on the coin.

Virginia, Minn Iron Nickel. This coin was made in hopes that different cities would have coins made with their city's name on the reverse. Quite common.
