Set Description:
I decided to start collecting this series after I saw a issue of the Lone Ranger (#188-140) on ebay. After checking the CGC census and seeing a very low population I went ahead and bid. I won and that was the start. This is the only series where I have a couple copies of the same issue. The hard to find and low population issues are, Spider-Man(#182), Tonto(#183), Batman(#187), Lone Ranger(#188), and the very hardest, Tarzan(#181). The Aurora Comic Scenes were promotional comic books included with the Aurora superhero model kits made in 1974. They were drawn by famous comic book artists like Gil Kane, Neal Adams, Curt Swan, and Dick Giordano and all ten feature popular comic book characters from both Marvel and DC, including Superman, Batman, Spider-man and the Incredible Hulk! Check out the individual listings below to see how I ended up with a total of 28 issues from a series that only has 10 issues.

This is one of those low population issues and was the hardest for me to find. There are only 26 graded copies with 1 at 9.9(this copy), 12 at 9.8, 6-9.6's, and 1 at 9.4, and 2 in 9.2 and there are also 4 SS copies.
Nice back cover with Tarzan taking on a foe and with two hits and a over the head body slam the story is concluded.

I kind of like this cover and really don't know why. Okay, it may have something to do with the somewhat dorky looking dragon. There are 130 graded copies with 7-9.9, 84-9.8, and 34 in 9.6.There are four other in lower grades and 1 SS copy.
I'm happy with my 9.2 as it was my goal to get 1 of each not 1 of each in super high grade. On second thinking I'll most likely go for a high grade sometime. Okay, got that higher grade.(10/27/11) Purchased from My Comic Shop for $73.

He asks Superboy to help recapture it, giving him a growth reversal ray gun. Superboy and Krypto meet up with the creature on a nearby planetoid, and start the reversal process, but the creature destroys the gun. Superboy then encases the creature in some rock that is impervious to the destructive rays, and returns it to the spaceship.

P.S.- Okay, I know, it’s a low population issue so you must own more than one copy. I do. I have one each of the following grades, 9.9, 9.8, 9.6, 9.4. Hey, everyone should have a reference set of the different grades.

Lot's of Robin to go around. 119 copies to pick from.11 in 10.0, 29 in 9.9, 74 in 9.6, and then just a few in other grades. There seems to be raw copies of these around, at Comic Connect, but most that I've seen seem to be a bit off color on the cover. This one is from a ComicConnect auction and cost me $83.
