Owner's Description
United States Coinage Double Eagle – Saint Gaudens’ Design Type 4 With Motto 1924 MS-64 Census - 291946 NGC graded coins - 99306 with this grade - 36180 graded higher Obv. Liberty walking front, torch right hand, branch in left hand and capital building on the left in the background. LIBERTY is at the top, the date in the lower right and stars adjacent to the rim. Rev. Centered on the reverse is a flying eagle, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA & TWENTY DOLLARS are above the eagle and below the eagle the sun and rays. Between the sun and rays is the motto IN GOD WE TRUST The double eagle was largest of all regular issue United States coinage. Many believe the twenty-dollar piece designed by Saint Gaudens to be America’s most beautiful coin.
