Owner's Description
United States Coinage Double Eagle - Type 3 Liberty Head or Coronet 1891-S MS-62 Census - 5074 NGC graded coins - 1831 with this grade - 524 graded higher Obv. Head of Liberty wear a Coronet facing left with 13 stars around and date below Rev. Eagle in center with the U.S. arms on its chest, “Glory” above (Stars & Rays) with refers to the Great Seal of the United States around the eagle a double scroll which was Longacre’s deliberate allusion to the denomination of double eagle. Below the eagle was TWENTY DOLLARS and around the eagle is UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Any mint mark would be placed between the eagle and twenty dollars. The double eagle was largest of all regular issue United States coinage.
