Owner's Description
Brazil Joao VI 1818 – 1822 960 Reis – 1821R Mint-Rio de Janeiro AU-58 KM-326.1 Census - 22 Graded by NGC - two with this grade - 12 graded higher Obv. Crown above denomination, date and Mint mark within vines Rev. Arms superimposed on a stylized globe This is last full year of Portugal’s control over Brazil. Brazil became independent of Portugal in 1822. Regarding this particular coin, I simply can not justify spending one cent more to get an UNC specimen. This coin has everything a collector wants including luster. My cost was $56.
