MEDAL APPEARANCE/CONDITION: *Brilliant Ultra-Cameo Silver Proof - Mirrored Fields Capture And Reflect Light Brilliantly Causing The Devices To Become Clearly Evident* MEDAL BACKGROUND: "Issued to commemorate and possibly advertise 'Rocky Mountain Coin' of Colorado which buys/sells precious metals, rare coins and currency since 1976. -- The obverse is reminiscent of the well-known 1933 'Century of Progress' so-called dollar, cataloged HK-870. -- The piece holds sentimental value to me, as RMC was a major contributor to building the foundation of my numismatic hobby when I first began collecting. I was able to purchase the example directly from the president of the company, Klaus J. Degler. He knew Colorado exonumia was an area of personal interest and he obtained the piece from the back of the store, as it was not for sale or on display to the public."
