(*) Figures for February, 1959 were not available, but this number was not reported in any other month for 1958 or 1959. The remainder of 50 Centavos were struck in January, 1959, and the remainder of 10 Centavos were struck in March, 1959, so the remainder of 25 Centavos were most likely struck in February, 1959.
This 25 centavo coin was minted by the Philadelphia mint for circulation in the Republic of the Philippines. The obverse of this coin is reminiscent of the obverse design from the previous US/Philippine 20 Centavo series issued from 1903 through 1945. The reverse shows the shield for the Republic of the Philippines and that it was issued by the authority of the Central Bank of the Philippines.
This particular coin is well preserved with moderate scuffs and nicks in both the fields and devices. Both the obverse and reverse are very well struck.
