Owner Comments:
Top Pop-with the MS67+ grade it is the Finest Known specimen to exist from any grading service. The Strike is exceptional on this Blast White Specimen, with of only 5 known to exist in the MS67 grade, this MS67+ coin is the absolute finest known example of this date and mint mark. Both sides of this superior Superb Gem 1935 Peace dollar are fully Blast White and untoned, displaying all of the original mint luster. The strike is absolutely sharp with 100% full hair details at the center of the obverse and sharp feather details at the center of the reverse. The frosty surfaces are pristine, with no significant marks of any consequence. This is an absolutely outstanding specimen with extraordinary aesthetic appeal. It is unique at 67+ over the four others that NGC has certified MS67 while PCGS has never graded a Superb Gem.
This coin carries the JTR Collection Pedigree and was last sold on the open market at a Heritage Auction in March of 2010. This Coin was Pedigreed to the Pamela Henard Peace Dollar Collection in 2018.
Mark Salzberg, NGC Chairman and Grading Finalizer:
This is a date that tends to be fairly common in nice condition, say MS 65, but it would take you a decade or longer to find one in this high a grade. It’s incredibly struck, has great luster and is near perfection.
