Set Description
Following the standards of the LMU, in 1868 Spain adopts the Peseta System giving away of centuries of Maravedis, Reales and Escudos Coins.
Spain issue Peseta System coins following this system during 2 Republican Periods, 3 Dinasties, military directoriies and using more than 20 diferent designs . Last Gold coin was issued in 1904, last Silver peseta in 1934 and last copper in 1913.
The bigger silver coin, 25 grams weigh was the 5 Peseta coin, issued almost all years from 1870 to 1899. After lost of war with USA for Cuba and Phillipines, 5 Peseta was not minted again, but remains in Circulation until Civil War. So many coins are really worn and exceptional examples are seldom found.
Set Goals
Build a full Set of 5 Peseta Coins covering all the years. It will include coins from Republic, Federation, Carlist, Saboya and Borbon rulers
