NORFED Liberty Dollars are an alternative currency created by Bernard von NotHaus under the organization called the National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve Act and the Internal Revenue Code (NORFED). Launched in 1998, the Liberty Dollar was designed as a private currency that could be used in transactions like regular money.
