Set Description
The collection of Spanish Philippines Medals that I possess mainly comprises non-military decorations and awards that were issued by the Spanish colonial government in the Philippines between 1780 and 1898. These medals were awarded to civilians and military personnel alike for their achievements and distinguished service in the Philippine civil service and the Spanish colonial administration.

These medals were made of either gold or silver and featured intricate designs and inscriptions, with some bearing images of famous Spanish explorers and conquistadors, while others displayed the Spanish coat of arms.

Although highly prized by the recipients for their representation of prestige and recognition for their service, these Spanish Philippines Medals became rare and valuable collector's items after the end of Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines in 1898.
