This is the 1818 defective last 8 variety which ngc declined to separate from the normal 1818’s. This variety is often shown and advertised as the 8 over 7 variety even by main dealers and auction houses (I was sold this as an 8 over 7)
See 6383287-001 for the genuine 8 over 7 variety which despite having been graded as ef by LCGS, NGC states that to have been cleaned, and refuse to make competitive

This is the real 8 over 7 variety. It was bought from Spink Auction 14004 in 2014, no mention of cleaning. It was then graded by LCGS as EF60 UIN 32017 no mention of cleaning they do not grade cleaned coins, then submitted to NGC who even after review state uncirculated details cleaned. Judge for yourself from the pictures.
