One of 21 total medals produced for the 1976 Bicentennial celebration of the American Independence of 1776.

Minted by the US Mint under the supervision of the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission (ARBC) in 1974 this silver proof version has an ultra-cameo finish and is graded PF 69 UC which makes it a "Top Pop".

The medal depicts Paul Revere on the obverse, with a patriot holding a rifle, symbolic of the Battles of Lexington & Concord, on the reverse. This medal was designed by Margaret Grigor.
