JNDA 01-10A. The silver 'new type' one yen with the dragon obverse and denomination reverse now reduced in diameter, though the weight and fineness is the same as its predecessor--which is fitting in its role as a coin intended for international trade. This is the final type of silver one yen produced, extending from the Meiji era to a single year of production in the Taisho era.
Diameter 38.1mm, 0.900 fine silver, weight 26.96 grams.
