2024 S$20 Palau Out of the Dark
By leveraging the possibilities of CIT's smartminting® technique, this coin creates a surreal and uneasy atmosphere. Appearing out from behind a curtain of darkness, the ultra-high relief and black proof surface of the figure creates the vision of the man leaping out of the frosted black void. But from where and why, we do not know. The coin is in Black Proof quality.
The obverse features a manly figure emerging from the frosted black void.
The reverse features the Coat of Arms of Palau surrounded by the inscriptions: "REPUBLIC OF PALAU", "20$", and "RAINBOW'S END".
Palau
Palau is an archipelago of over 500 islands, part of the Micronesia region in the western Pacific Ocean. Koror Island is home to the former capital, also named Koror, and is the islands’ commercial center. The larger Babeldaob has the present capital, Ngerulmud, plus mountains and sandy beaches on its east coast. In its north, ancient basalt monoliths known as Badrulchau lie in grassy fields surrounded by palm trees. ― Google
