Another year brought another anniversary as the US Mint wanted to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the opening of the current San Francisco Mint facility in 1937. The SF Mint produced a 2-coin set including this reverse proof and a standard proof.

This date was included in "The 100 Greatest US Modern Coins, 3rd ed"
