This year was the 35th Anniversary of the Silver Eagle coin. The President, Donald Trump, ordered that the Silver Eagle should have a reverse design change to celebrate. This would be the last coin to have the reverse image designed by John Mercanti. The mint released this coin for the first half of the year and then released the new coin for the remaining part of the year. This coin is known as the 2021 Silver Eagle T-1.
