Matthew Denton was an engraver and printer who issued a number of specious tokens for various locations throughout Great Britain. Thomas Prattent was a well-known, accomplished, copperplate engraver, draftsman, printer and print seller in London who also issued a number of specious tokens for collectors. Matthew Denton and Thomas Prattent were the co-authors of the “The Virtuoso’s Companion and Coin Collector’s Guide”.
