Owner Comments:
The Young Astronaut Medal Program, “America in Space” was struck by the Philadelphia Mint with the “P” mint mark. Medals were struck in gold, silver and bronze with varying obverse designs and a common reverse. The largest gold medals were only struck in proof. The largest silver medals were only struck in a “bright brush finish”. The 21mm and 38mm sizes were struck in proof and uncirculated finish.
