This National Commemorative Medal was struck to commemorate the many contributions to the founding and early development of the State of Texas and the city of San Antonio by Jose Antonio Navarro. Struck by the Philadelphia Mint with the “P” mint mark, the medals were distributed by the San Antonio Conservation Society.
