Owner Comments:

The Texas Freedom Medal as it has become known, was produced by the Philadelphia Mint for the Texas Heritage Foundation, Inc. 2000 bronze medals were produced and can occasionally be found framed as presentation pieces. They do not appear to have been publicly sold. The medal commemorates the one hundred and twenty anniversary of the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence in 1836 as well as the battles of the Alamo, Goliath and San Jacinto.
